First Things First

The new framework is actually an old one. We are ALL priests. And worship and prayer is our first ministry.

TABLE TALK

A dinner table discussion guide for your family and friends.

Discussion:  What about Sunday’s message impacted you the most?

Scripture Engagement: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” - Acts 2:42-47

  1. Learning and Doing - “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching.” Q. What do we know that we need to do?

  2. Fellowship - Fellowship is knowing others and being known by others. Q. Who do we need to invite into our lives on a deeper level?

  3. Breaking Bread - Eating together Q. Who can we invite to our table?

  4. Prayer - It’s about connection with the Father’s heart. Q. How can I adjust our prayers to better connect with God?

Praying Together:

  1. Thank Him. What can we thank Him for?

  2. Praise Him. What is one thing about who Jesus is that we can praise Him about?

  3. Ask Him. What is a need we have or an area in which we would like to see God break through.

  4. Listen to Him: What is on God’s heart about your need. What is He saying to you? Let Him complete this sentence to you. “My child, I love you, and I want you to know...”
